Welcome To Soulace Africa.

Who We Are
Soulace Africa is a registered, community-based nonprofit organization established in 2018 to address the challenges faced by underserved populations in Nigeria. Our mission is to foster peace, promote social inclusion, and empower individuals affected by conflict, poverty, and systemic neglect. We believe in creating sustainable solutions that enable communities to rebuild, thrive, and break free from cycles of hardship and exclusion.
Over the past five years, we have directly impacted the lives of over 1,000 women and girls across 10 veteran communities in southern Nigeria. Our Founding Story
Turning Pain into Purpose: Founding Story behind Soulace Africa.
Busola Adenike Adeeko and her husband, Peter, are couple of destiny. Their lives, though shaped by different paths, share an enduring bond of characterised by resilience, and a determination to rewrite the narratives of those forgotten by society. Having individually lost Thier father's and witness their mother's faced humiliating situations to provide for them and the rest of thier siblings growing up, together, they turned their shared pain into a beacon of hope, founding Soulace Africa Initiative in 2018—a nonprofit committed to supporting war widows and orphans in Nigeria.
For Busola, the journey began at just six years old when she lost her father, the family’s anchor. Left behind was her mother—a young widow of 32 with six children to raise, including an eight-month-old baby. With no formal education or financial means, her mother faced relentless poverty and societal ostracism. From hawking salt on dangerous streets for meager commissions to enduring isolation during a forced mourning period, her mother’s resilience became Busola’s bedrock. These formative experiences shaped her empathy for widows and orphans.
Peter’s story echoes hers in many ways. He too lost his father, a soldier, early in life, and the void left behind was devastating. His childhood was marked by the struggles of growing up as a war orphan in a system that offered no support. The weight of loss, poverty, and the absence of guidance left lasting scars. Yet, those very scars became the foundation of his resolve to fight for those left behind by conflict.
Together, Busola and Peter channeled their shared pain into Soulace Africa, where they focus on preventing violent conflict and empowering families shattered by war. Through our initiatives like the Soulace Micro Enterprise Finance Scheme (SMEFS), they provide financial inclusion and sustainable support for widows and orphans, ensuring that no family endures the neglect they once faced.
For the duo, Soulace is more than a nonprofit—it’s a movement born from innate personal experience, a testament to their belief that even the deepest pain can birth a legacy of hope, empowerment, and peace.

Why We Exist
Soulace Africa was founded to respond to the critical social, economic, and peacebuilding challenges affecting underserved populations in Nigeria. Many of these individuals—veterans, widows, orphans, and inmates—face systemic neglect, social exclusion, and limited access to opportunities for growth and self-sufficiency.
Our work bridges these gaps by addressing the root causes of these challenges, providing targeted interventions that promote healing, empowerment, and inclusion. By aligning our efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work), SDG 16 (Peace and Justice), and SDG 17 (Partnerships), we ensure that our programs contribute to global efforts for sustainable development.
Our Commitment
At Soulace Africa, we are committed to building a brighter future for Nigeria’s underserved populations. Through collaboration with local communities, government agencies, and international partners, we strive to create lasting change that uplifts individuals and strengthens communities.
